you're just an empty cage, girl, if you kill the bird

If you were wondering what I was doing at 2 am on Easter morning, wonder no longer:
Haley is back in bed with a book and her bathrobe when she hears Aaron’s car pull up. She hasn’t gotten past rereading the same paragraph, and it’s with relief that she folds the book shut and tosses it on the nightstand. She’s out of bed, down the stairs, and waiting for him before he’s got the front door unlocked.

She drops the robe as soon as the door is closed behind him. She’s not sure which of them moves but his arms are around her, hands gripping her hard enough to leave bruises behind. She only pulls away enough to get her arms up over his shoulders, long enough for him to capture her mouth possessively, and then he pulls her in close again. She tucks her head under his chin and lets him bury his face in her wet hair.

No promises on whether the rest of this will ever see the light of day, but I have a Haley/Hotch/Rossi scene in my mind that won't quit.
